How long should your pickleball shoes last before you have to replace them?
Generally speaking, pickleball shoes or court shoes last for about 60 hours of play before they break down. As a result, if you play pickleball about once per week, for two hours at a time, then you will need to buy a pair of pickleball shoes about twice per year. If you play more frequently, maybe every day, or you are extremely hard on your shoes, then you will need to buy a pair of pickleball shoes more often.
- If you play 1x a week: Your pickleball shoes should last around 6-12 months.
- If you play 2x a week: Your pickleball shoes should last around 4-6 months.
- If you play 3-5x a week: Your pickleball shoes should last around 2-3 months.
Playing with wet shoes will cause your pickleball shoes to break down more quickly, so you might consider buying two pairs to alternate, especially if you play a lot.
